Plumbing & Heating Engineer – Kirkcaldy
£16–£22 per hour + Van + Bonuses | Full-Time | Mostly Local Work | No Weekend Callouts

Sean Brown Plumbing & Heating is looking for an experienced engineer to join our well-established team. Based in Kirkcaldy and working across Fife, we deliver high-quality plumbing and heating services—from boiler installs and heating solutions to high-end bathrooms and Air Source Heat Pumps.

We understand that every tradesperson has their strengths. Whether your background is more heating-focused, bathroom installations, or renewables, we’re open to shaping the role to suit the right individual.

Most of our work is local, with a loyal client base and a reputation built on doing the job right first time. We don’t do weekend callouts, and we believe in supporting our team to do great work and enjoy a balanced life.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience in plumbing and heating

• Able to work independently and within a small, friendly team

• Professional, tidy, and customer-focused

• Full UK driving licence

Key Qualifications

• SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing or Mechanical Services

• Gas Safe certified with the following:

  • CCN1 (Core Domestic Gas Safety)

  • CENWAT (Central Heating Boilers/Water Heaters)

  • HTR1 (Gas Fires and Wall Heaters)

  • CKR1 (Cookers)

  • DAH1 (Warm Air Heating Appliances)

  • CPA1 (Combustion Performance Analysis)

Desirable (Not Essential)

• G3 Unvented Hot Water qualification

• BPEC or equivalent Heat Pump certification

• Oftec 101
