Search are working with their client in the Westhill area of Aberdeen, who are looking for reliable and hardworking Factory Operatives to join their team!

Core details:

  • Location: Westhill, Aberdeen
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm (1pm finish on a Friday) foir training, you will then move to the backshift - 4.30pm-3am Monday to Thursday
  • Pay: 12.21+p/h basic DOE - overtime available frequently - uplift for nightshift (15% on top of basic rate)
  • Contract: temporary initially, with the potential for permanent employment for the right person
  • Start date: ASAP - ideally you will be immediately available
  • Training provided on site

What you will be doing:

  • Act as a key member of the Manufacturing team, reporting to Production Supervisor(s)
  • Abide by all health and safety standards, and report any issues where necessary relating to this, machinery or equipment
  • Manufacture company specific components as per training and pre-agreed standards
  • Build and maintain relationships with colleagues on the factory floor, and management
  • Daily operation of power tools and machinery

Skills required:

  • Experience within a "hands on" role (joinery experience would be beneficial)
  • Basic numeracy essential and ability to understand technical drawings is beneficial
  • Comfortable with the use of hand tools e.g. nail gun / power saw's
  • Ability to cope with consistent heavy lifting and loud environments
  • Desire and motivation to learn and develop
