We are recruiting for a Civils Project Manager for a new substation project in Orkney.

Our client would consider both permanent/salaried and freelance candidates for this assignment which has an approximate duration of 18 month.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour.
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Prepare and review RAMS, progress reports, and site documentation.
  • Drive quality standards and promote a strong health & safety culture on site.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager or Site Agent on large-scale civil engineering projects.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Project or similar software.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold), and First Aid certification (desirable).
  • Full UK driving licence.

The rotation will be 10/11 on and 3/4 off with flights, accommodation and vehicle provided.
