About the Role: Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer

HBG Recruitment are seeking an Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer to join on of our growing clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation,maintenance, and repair of a wide range of HVAC systems across residential,commercial, industrial, and modular buildings. Key Responsibilities: Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer

• Install, maintain, and repairair conditioning systems (split systems, VRV/VRF, AHUs).

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and respond to reactive service callouts.

• Diagnose faults and perform repairs onrefrigeration units, including chillers, cold rooms, ice machines, and display cabinets.

• Handle refrigerant recovery, gas charging, and commissioning of new installations.

• Perform electrical fault finding, brazing, and compressor/component replacement.

• Ensure compliance with F-Gas regulations and Health & Safety standards.

• Liaise with customers in a professional manner and support junior technicians as required.

What We're Looking For: Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning / City & Guilds equivalent.

• F-Gas Category 1 certification (essential).

• Proven experience working with commercial and industrial A/C andrefrigeration systems.

• Excellent fault diagnosis and repair skills.

• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.

• Full UK driving licence with a clean record.

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with great communication skills.
