IT Technician
Location: Knaresborough, North Yorkshire
Salary: £26,000 p/a
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm
A fantastic opportunity has become available for an IT Technician to join a well-established organisation due to an internal promotion. This role offers a varied and hands-on position supporting the day-to-day operation of the company’s IT systems and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:

Check that overnight Actisure batch jobs have run without error, resolve any minor issues and escalating major ones.

Ensure all scheduled tasks are completed.

Be first point of call for IT support requests, resolving minor issues and escalating major ones.

Ensure hardware and software is up to date across the network.

Maintain the Windows domain, including Active Directory and Group Policy, ensuring it is in line with IT policies.

Assist in the installation, configuration and integration of new hardware, software and externally provided services.

Ensure IT policies are followed in all tasks.
Requirements:

Experience in a similar IT support or technician role

Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Active Directory, Group Policy, and general networking

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks

Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
