Location: Knebworth
Salary: 20,700 per annum - 27 hours per week
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 15:00

Are you an organised and detail-oriented individual looking for a part-time administrative role in a dynamic environment? Our client, a respected leader in the construction and logistics sector, is seeking a Fleet & Plant Administrator to support the efficient operation and legal compliance of their vehicle and equipment fleet.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in coordinating essential services across multiple departments including Transport, Plant, Buying, Workshop, and Yard.

Key Responsibilities:

Fleet & Plant Administration:

  • Maintain accurate data across internal fleet and plant systems.

  • Ensure all vehicles and equipment meet legal standards-taxed, insured, MOT'd, and certified.

  • Track driver certifications and support training record maintenance.

  • Support vehicle monitoring through telematics and DashCam systems.

Operational Support:

  • Assist the Transport Manager with vehicle scheduling and route optimisation.

  • Respond to internal and external fleet-related queries in a timely, professional manner.

  • Contribute to maintaining compliance and organisation within the Yard and Plant departments.

Administrative Functions:

  • Produce regular reports for management across Fleet, Plant, and Transport teams.

  • Manage incoming communications, including phone calls and emails.

  • Provide cover for other logistics admin staff during periods of absence or leave.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Understanding of legal and compliance requirements for commercial vehicles and plant equipment is highly desirable.
