Shift Production Supervisor

We are working with a Market Leading Product Manufacturer to recruit a Production Shift Supervisor. As a market leader in their field, they are looking for a Production Shift Supervisor who will be an asset to their team, be an effective and proactive team member and work towards company expectations and targets. Taking manufacturing operations to the next level for production, planning, quality, H&S and overall efficiency. Key Responsibilities of Shift Production Supervisor;

• The leadership of manufacturing / production operations, covering both automated and labour intensive processes, whilst seeking to automate processes where possible
• Offering and arranging prompt support in the event of any plant breakdowns
• Ensure consistent quality by monitoring production output and rejecting items that fail to meet standards.
• The development and promotion of lean manufacturing techniques, such as 5s, 6 sigma, VSM, SMED, TPM, OEE etc, across manufacturing operations
• To identify opportunities to further automate manufacturing processes whilst keeping records to report to the Shift Manager along with Implementing different KPIs across the factory

Qualifications and Experience for a Shift Production Supervisor;

• Previous experience within a Senior Production/ manufacturing leadership position, e.g. Operations Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Production Manager, Shift Operations Manager, Shift Production Manager, Production Lead, etc
• Leadership and people management skills and the ability to build, motivate, develop and improve teams.
• Experience within a fast-paced manufacturing / engineering environment, practically implementing continuous improvement tools and techniques - Lean and Six Sigma.
• Ideally L3 ILM Leadership / Management Qualification however not essential

This position would suit Shift Production Supervisor, Shift Supervsior, Production Shift Manager or Shift Production Team Leader.
