The Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and commercially focused Internal Sales Engineer to join our team. This role is ideally suited to candidates with a strong background in technical sales, supported by a mechanical engineering education or experience, and a genuine enthusiasm for customer engagement and solution selling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and respond to incoming customer enquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Prepare accurate and competitive quotations based on customer requirements
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless order fulfilment
  • Provide technical support and product recommendations tailored to client needs
  • Stay informed of industry developments, market trends, and competitor activity

Candidate Profile

We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills; someone who is self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.

Essential:

  • Proven experience in sales or a commercially driven role, preferably within a technical or industrial environment
  • Foundation in mechanical engineering (qualification or practical experience)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM systems

Desirable:

  • Experience in the oil, gas, or manufacturing sectors
  • Knowledge of valve products or similar technical components
