We are looking for a Senior Process Engineer to play a pivotal role in supporting and improving operations at a specialist manufacturing facility in Cheshire. In this role, you will act as technical authority, leading key projects, optimising complex processes and ensuring regulatory compliance across a unique and challenging chemical manufacturing environment.

Key Tasks:

  • Provide expert technical support, fault diagnosis and root cause analysis for plant processes.
  • Lead process improvements to enhance safety, quality, yield and throughput.
  • Lead major capital projects to develop and improve processes across the plant.
  • Collect, analyse and present data ( technical reports, presentations) to identify and resolve problems using Route Cause Analysis (RCA)
  • Develop deep technical knowledge of specialist processes such as fluid mixing, coating, crystal growth and film drying.
  • Drive automation and plant upgrades, identify new opportunities for efficiency and innovation.
  • Coach and mentor team members whilst supporting continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Leading risk assessments, HAZOPs and SHE compliance activities to maintain a safe and effective operation.

What we are looking for:

  • A degree in Chemical Engineering (Chartered status highly desirable).
  • Min 5-7 years experience of Process Engineering in a manufacturing environment, with a track record of delivering process improvements.
  • Experience of and / or qualifications in SHE e.g. NEBOSH, HAZOP, PED, Reliefs
  • Strong knowledge of process safety, regulatory compliance, and chemical plant operations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information at all levels.
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset and the confidence to lead change.
