Heavy Industry Maintenance Electrician (Apprenticeship Served)

Acorn by Synergie is currently recruiting a Maintenance Electrician on behalf of our client - a leading industrial business based in Llanbydder. This is a permanent role, ideal for a time-served electrician with a background in heavy industry or manufacturing.



About the Role:

You'll be responsible for the maintenance and repair of both fixed and mobile plant equipment including conveyors, pumps, motors, control panels, and PLCs. Preventative maintenance and fault-finding are key elements of this role, as well as ensuring compliance with safety standards at all times.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out efficient repair of electrical breakdowns.
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance to reduce downtime.
  • Maintain motors, switchgear, panels, and electrical systems safely.
  • Support the installation and commissioning of electrical projects.
  • Operate and maintain electrical equipment including PLCs and control systems.
  • Identify faults quickly and implement effective solutions.
  • Adhere to health & safety procedures and company policies.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to meet operational goals.


Requirements:

  • Apprenticeship served in electrical maintenance.
  • 17th or 18th Edition of BS 7671.
  • 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification.
  • Experience working in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment (advantageous).
  • Computer literacy and the ability to use maintenance systems.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexible, proactive, and safety-focused approach.
