Your new companyA market-leading manufacturing business in Lancaster. Your new roleAn interim FC role, reporting to the Financial Director and leading a team of 5 staff. You will lead day-to-day financial operations, manage a capable finance team and provide valuable input into ongoing IT system changes and transformation projects led by the wider group.Responsibilities will include: Managing the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. You will oversee the preparation of management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and year-end financial statements. Ensure compliance with internal controls, group policies, and relevant accounting standards. Lead and support a seasoned finance team of five, including a qualified accountant, assistant accountant, purchase ledger clerk, accounts apprentice. Provide input and subject matter expertise into finance-related aspects of ongoing IT system changes and group transformation programmes. Liaise with external auditors and advisors as required. What you'll need to succeedYou will be a fully qualified accountant with experience in a similar Financial Controller role, ideally in the manufacturing sector. You will also have strong leadership and team management skills, be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment, have experience contributing to finance transformation initiatives or system change programmes and have excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
