Accounts Assistant | Lancaster | £28,000 - £30,000
Adaptable Recruitment are partnering with a well-established and forward-thinking business based in the Lancaster area to recruit for an Accounts Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy and supportive finance team in a varied role that covers key transactional responsibilities across both purchase and sales ledger functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and maintain supplier and customer account records, including set-ups, credit checks, invoicing, and reconciliations.
- Manage day-to-day purchase ledger tasks including invoice processing, payment preparation, and resolving supplier queries.
- Assist with sales ledger duties such as raising and issuing invoices, managing receipts, and credit control.
- Perform bank reconciliations and process ad hoc payments.
- Handle employee expenses and company credit card reconciliations.
- Support month-end tasks and provide assistance to the wider finance team as required.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in a finance or accounts role essential
- Sage 50 experience essential
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail, with good Excel skills.
- A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- CIS experience would be a plus
