A great opportunity for a qualified Fire Risk Assessor with a minimum of 2 years experience leading life safety assessment creation, who has a passion for the production and delivery of high quality fire assessments to the customer.

The role

  • Conducting type 1, type 3, commercial and industrial fire risk type assessments on low to mid level complex properties for clients within Council, Social Housing and commercial sectors to the highest quality standard.
  • Developing and supporting customer relations, providing competent advice where necessary to the customer with appropriate and proactive communication skills.
  • Placing an emphasis on quality within the risk assessments produced within the generous working time provided and working with the senior consultants and others in the organisation as a team to achieve this.
  • Taking broadly independent control of diary/planning management to deliver an efficient service for the customer and the organisation.
  • Working with online cloud based platforms to generate reports, satisfy organisation processes and collate records.
  • Remaining up to date with CPD, legislation and current guidance.

Qualifications & Skills

  • The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate 2 years plus experience in fire risk assessing within the sectors stipulated in the role.
  • Hold a level 3 fire risk assessing qualification as a minimum. Other enhancements on the basic fire qualifications (fire doors, fire stopping etc. will be desirable).
  • Have a driving licence and use of personal car.
  • Be local to the region (ideally around the Manchester area but open to the right candidate) and have a willingness to travel outside of that area if required.
  • Have a passion for fire assessing in the role and a willingness to hone the skill and be the best at it.
