Data Management Engineer – Contract

Location: Warton, Preston (minimum 3 days per week onsite)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Data Management Engineer to support a major engineering programme based in Warton.

This is a long-term contract opportunity with a strong likelihood of extension, offering competitive rates and a hands-on role within a large-scale data cleansing programme.

 

The Role


This is a hands-on position supporting a major data cleansing and remediation programme, focused on improving the quality, accuracy and integrity of engineering and configuration data.

You will play a key role in identifying, correcting and maintaining data across engineering systems while supporting change and configuration control processes.



You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting a large-scale data cleansing and correction programme
  • Manually reviewing, correcting and maintaining engineering data
  • Generating and managing engineering change requests
  • Supporting configuration management activities
  • Applying data management and configuration management principles
  • Working closely with engineering and programme teams
  • This role will suit someone who enjoys detailed, operational work and has a strong eye for accuracy and data quality.


Essential Experience

  • Proven experience generating and managing change requests
  • Strong understanding of data management and configuration management principles
  • Experience working in engineering, manufacturing, defence, or aerospace environments
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on, data-focused role


Desirable Skills

  • Experience with automated scripting using Python or Alteryx (beneficial but not essential)


Security Clearance

Candidates must be eligible for BPSS and SC clearance. You do not need to already hold active SC clearance to be considered.
