Veritas Education is looking for a qualified Teaching Assistant (TA) to provide 1:1 support for a Year 2 pupil in a warm and welcoming primary school in Lancaster.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a child's educational journey, within a supportive school setting.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver one-to-one support to a Year 2 pupil with additional learning needs.
  • Support learning across the curriculum under the guidance of the class teacher.
  • Build a positive, trusting relationship with the pupil.
  • Help manage behaviour and maintain a focused learning environment.
  • Assist with classroom tasks as needed.

Essential Requirements:

  • Recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or above).
  • Previous experience working with children in a school or similar setting.
  • A calm, caring, and patient approach to learning support.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through us).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
