PFI Handback Director - Nationwide Role (flexible location)
£70K - £90K Salary, 20% bonus, Pension contribution and hybrid working
Our client are a leading investor with a broad and mixed portfolio of infrastructure assets. They are looking to recruit a PFI Handback Director to oversee the development and implementation of the portfolio Handback strategy in line with all commercial and contractual obligations.
This is a unique opportunity to shape, lead and deliver a significant strategic workstream for a highly regarded organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development and implementation of the portfolio Handback strategy in line with all commercial and contractual obligations.
- Provide support and guidance to each of the operational project teams in delivery of the overarching strategy
- Develop appropriate expiry performance measures and tracking mechnisms to provide timely and insightful reports for board level
- Develop forward looking action plans to proritise, track and identify risks of each project within the portfolio as they prepare for handback. Reviewing each project against handback requirements, identifying gaps and mitigating risks
- Develop a centre of excellence utilising key resources and knowledge sources across the organisation, reviewing current position, identifying and anticipating challenges to the progress and sharing best practice to embed a culture of continuous improvement.
- Work across the organisation to develop the services needed to manage each project to handback stage whilst protecting risks and ensuring investor confidence.
Person Specification
- Significant PFI experience including an extensive understanding of the contracts and working with operational assets
- Proven technical and commercial skills with a relevant educational qualification in a related field (Building Management, Construction Management, Commercial Management etc)
- Ability to influence a wide range of parties to achieve a shared goal
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Problem solver with a tenacious ability to find commercially sound solutions to challenging situations
