HR Advisor
Full Time - 18-month Fixed Term Contract
Salary £35,000- £37,000 plus excellent benefits package, including 39 days annual leave (inc. of statutory holidays) and greatly enhanced pension scheme

I’m partnering with a large and prestigious not-for-profit organisation based in Lancashire as they look to appoint an experienced HR Advisor for an 18-month fixed term contract.
Reporting into an HR Business Partner and working closely with the Head of HR, you will support the HR team and various stakeholders with a wide range of generalist HR duties, including Employee Relations case work, HR MI, and reviewing HR policies and procedures.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to HR strategy and organisational change for a large and varied workforce and to assist in complex ER casework.
Key Responsibilities for the HR Advisor:
- Asist in the delivery of an efficient and effective HR support and advisory service to a wide range of departments and stakeholders.
- Provide advice and guidance on occupational health referrals, absence management issues and return to work cases to managers.
- To provide advice and support (under the direction of the HR Business Partner) on departmental restructurings, including undertaking formal consultation with staff and trade unions and providing advice on redeployment and redundancy issues.
- Assist the HR Business Partner with the management of complex employee relations cases providing independent HR advice and support which include disciplinary, grievance, bullying and harassment and sickness and absence cases.
- Maintain HR systems and processes such as recruitment, fixed term contracts, redundancy and case management, providing advice as and when required.
- Review and develop HR policies and procedures within the legal framework of employment legislation.
- Prepare reports, analyse statistical information on a range of HR metrics/data in a timely and accurate manner.
- Proactively support and identify areas for improvement relating to HR systems and policy.
Key Requirements for the HR Advisor:
- It is essential that you have a strong HR background, working at a similar HR Advisor level.
- You will have a wide range of generalist HR experience and knowledge including managing employee relations casework, employment legislation, HR policies and procedures and stakeholder management.
- Ideally you will be CIPD level 5 qualified, however, this is not essential criteria.
- It would be highly advantageous if you have gained exposure to organisational change including restructures, redundancies and liaising with Trade Unions, as well as having previously worked for similar not-for-profit and or public sector organisations, however, this is not essential criteria to be considered for this role.
- Excellent relationship building skills with the ability to work collaboratively at all levels and communicate with a wide and diverse range of stakeholders.
- Confident and curious individual with a proactive attitude to solving problems and looking for solutions.
- It would help if you were a car driver and owner.
