An excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join my clients finance team as an Assistant Management Accountant. This role is ideally suited to a CIMA studier who is eager to develop their career within a progressive and commercially focused finance function. Based on the outskirts of Lancaster with good commuter links to the M6 reporting to a seasoned Financial Controller.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, including journals, accruals, and prepayments
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Provide financial analysis and commentary to aid business decision-making
- Assist in the development and maintenance of financial models and reporting tools
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of finance processes and controls
The Ideal Candidate Is
- Actively studying towards CIMA (or equivalent professional qualification)
- Demonstrable experience or exposure within a finance or accounting environment
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial systems
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- A clear desire to progress within a corporate finance environment
