Are you a strategic and delivery-focused NHS leader passionate about clinical transformation and cost improvement? We have an opportunity to work with our client in North West England as a CIP Programme Lead, playing a vital role in shaping and driving sustainable change across clinical services.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly capable and motivated CIP Programme Lead to lead the development and implementation of a portfolio of cost improvement initiatives. You will work closely with divisional leadership teams and be aligned to one of the key service areas - Surgery, Medicine, or Community Services - ensuring improvements are clinically sound, financially robust, and operationally effective.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, planning, and delivery of divisional CIP programmes in collaboration with clinical and operational teams.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for clinical transformation that enhance patient care while achieving efficiency savings.
  • Provide expert programme management support, ensuring projects are aligned to Trust priorities and national NHS efficiency goals.
  • Support the development of robust business cases, including quality impact assessments.
  • Monitor progress against key milestones, reporting regularly to divisional boards and the central CIP oversight group.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in delivering cost improvement programmes in the NHS
  • Strong understanding of clinical service delivery, finance, and workforce planning.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience of working within Surgery, Medicine or Community Services would be advantageous.
