The role:

As part of our team, you will contribute to the delivery of our visionary plans for North West England, ensuring that our projects not only meet but exceed our sustainability goals.

We aim to provide comprehensive, cost-effective solutions. Our approach involves implementing projects that prevent rainwater from entering our sewer network, making it less susceptible to rainfall. We achieve this through Sustainable Drainage Systems, focusing on managing rainwater at its source and storing it on the surface, thereby minimising the need for underground storage.

In this role, you will immerse yourself in the heart of operations, collaborating with seasoned project delivery teams and engineers. You'll gain in depth knowledge of our organisation, our significant contracts, and our key industry partners. Your expertise will be crucial in addressing the unique challenges of our sector, and your collaborative efforts will be instrumental in driving our success and achieving our ambitious targets.

Key accountabilities:

  • You will oversee a select group of projects within the capital program, ensuring they align with strategic goals and deliver value.
  • You will collaborate with a diverse team of professionals to guide projects from inception to successful completion, while fostering continuous business enhancement.
  • You will proactively identify and resolve obstacles to maintain project momentum and support the broader project team in achieving objectives.
  • You will synthesize complex technical data into accessible information, liaising with experts to facilitate clear and effective communication across the organisation.
  • You will guarantee the fulfilment of project deliverables to meet or exceed the expectations of both internal and external stakeholders, offering comprehensive administrative and planning support throughout the project lifecycle.

Skills & experience:

To be successful with your application, you’ll need to show that you meet the following essential criteria:

  • Ability to undertake and learn the necessary skills leading to APM PMQ.
  • Hold a current UK/EU driving licence

It would also be great if you can demonstrate any of the following?desirable?criteria:

  • Previous experience of undertaking project management work.
