1:1 SEN Tutor Lytham September Start
Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for an experienced 1:1 Tutor to support a secondary-aged pupil in the Lytham area, starting in September. This is a face-to-face role, ideally suited to a tutor with experience working within an SEN setting.
We are a Teaching Agency committed to making a positive impact on young peoples lives by supporting their development and education. Our Children's Education Team partners with local authorities across the North West to support vulnerable pupils currently outside of mainstream education.
Contract/Position Details:
Location: Face-to-face in Lytham (community or pupils home)
Position: SEN Tutor
Age group: Secondary (Key Stage 3)
Subjects: Maths (5 hours/week) & English (5 hours/week)
Start date: September 2025
Contract type: Ongoing
Hours: 10 hours per week
Pay: 25 per hour minimum
Requirements:
Right to work in the UK
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
Overseas Police Check (if applicable)
Two professional references
QTS or relevant tutoring experience
Experience working with SEN (preferred)

The successful tutor will be confident in delivering tailored, 1:1 sessions that support progress and engagement. A patient and flexible approach is key to helping the pupil achieve their potential.
Prospero will support you throughout the placement and request weekly progress updates.
