My client are recruiting a Speech and Language Therapist for their Independent Specialist Day School in Lancaster.

The school is an independent, co-educational specialist day and residential school that offers high-quality education and care for children aged 7 to 18. The school supports a diverse group of pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties, as well as a range of associated condition

Key responsibilities:

  • Offering evidence based, holistic and child-centred assessments and interventions.
  • Undertake high quality assessments of children and young people and make recommendations about appropriate therapeutic interventions for each child or young person, in accordance with individual assessed needs.
  • Work closely with children, young people, their parents and staff to ensure a personalised plan of delivery.
  • To identity training needs, develop and facilitate training sessions to staff and parents/carers.
  • Attend and/or inform Post Admission Reviews, Annual Reviews and ITACs for those children on your caseload.

Requirements:

  • Be a qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with the HCPC.
  • Experience of supporting teams around a child or young person to ensure they are being provided with clinically informed living and learning environments and experiences.
