Are you an experienced Toolroom Manager looking to take the next step in your career? Our client, a leading manufacturer in the plastics industry, is seeking a hands-on and driven Toolroom Manager to join their senior leadership team. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is an excellent opportunity to lead a team of 12 skilled employees while ensuring the toolroom operates safely, efficiently and to the highest standards of quality.

In this key role, you will manage the daily operations of the toolroom, ensuring work is distributed effectively, schedules are met and technical issues are resolved quickly. You will lead, train and mentor your team while promoting continuous improvement and maintaining a culture of safety and teamwork. Responsibilities include managing stock levels, producing risk assessments, implementing 6S and IOSH safety practices and working closely with other departments to ensure clear communication across the business. You will also liaise with the company’s partner toolmaker in China to uphold the high standards required for tools supplied to UK mould shops.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of management experience within a plastics or tooling environment, strong leadership ability and a solid understanding of health and safety and quality management systems. You will be proactive, well organised and confident in making key operational decisions when needed.
