We are seeking an experienced HGV Technician to carry out routine maintenance and repairs on all makes of HGVs and trailers to the highest industry standards. You will join a dynamic commercial workshop team, with fantastic development opportunities and a great support network.

Key Responsibilities of a HGV Technician

  • Service and maintain HGVs and trailers to VOSA standards
  • Efficiently diagnose and repair faults
  • Attend roadside breakdowns or customer premises when required
  • Follow safety protocols and handle vehicles with care
  • Collaborate with parts department for required components
  • Maintain workshop cleanliness and tidiness
  • Accurately complete job cards and service records
  • Comply with Health & Safety regulations
  • Attend regular training and stay current with product updates

Skills & Experience of a HGV Technician

  • Proven experience as an HGV Technician or in a commercial workshop
  • Recognised qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent) or strong experience
  • Excellent diagnostic, repair, and communication skills
  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently
  • High attention to detail and customer-focused approach

Desirable but not essential:

  • HGV or PSV Licence
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools and repair systems
