About the Company:We are a fast-growing and progressive accountancy practice, providing a high-quality, added-value service to clients across Devon and North Cornwall. Due to continued expansion, we are seeking an experienced Client Manager to join our team.

Role Overview:The Client Manager will be responsible for managing their own block of clients, delivering year-end and advisory meetings, reviewing and finalising accounts, and handling tax work. The role will also involve mentoring junior team members and undertaking various ad-hoc duties as required.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to progress, with potential to advance to a senior leadership role — including heading up one of our offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of clients across Devon and North Cornwall

  • Conduct year-end meetings and provide proactive advisory support

  • Oversee accounts preparation and review, ensuring accuracy and compliance

  • Handle corporate and personal tax work

  • Review and finalise accounts for a variety of clients

  • Support and mentor junior staff, reviewing their work and providing guidance

  • Attend client premises as required to provide on-site support

  • Undertake ad-hoc duties to support the wider practice

Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience (QBE)

  • Currently working in an accountancy practice

  • Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation and UK tax

  • Proven ability to manage client relationships effectively

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Willingness and ability to travel to client sites
