Expleo is seeking a Test Rig Design Engineer to support one of our leading automotive customers based in Warwickshire on an initial 12 month contract . This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge vehicle testing and development within a world-class engineering environment.

You'll be part of the Facility & Technology Development team, responsible for designing and delivering bespoke test rigs and fixtures that support a wide range of physical testing activities - from component-level to full vehicle testing. This role is central to enabling the delivery of core engineering test plans across multiple labs.

Key Responsibilities:
* Design test rigs and components using 3DX (Catia V6) from concept to delivery.
* Produce 2D manufacturing drawings for internal and external fabrication.
* Collaborate with internal customers to define testing requirements.
* Work closely with workshop fitters and supervisors to ensure successful rig assembly.
* Plan and manage workload to meet project timelines.
* Validate designs using hand calculations, kinematics, MBS, FEA/CAE.
* Prepare and present technical reports.

Skills & Experience:
* Strong understanding of vehicle testing methodologies.
* Knowledge of vehicle architecture, components, and mechanical systems.
* Proficient in 3D CAD modelling and interpreting complex 2D drawings.
* Familiarity with manufacturing techniques and design optimization.
* Excellent problem-solving and workload management skills.
* Ability to resolve technical and process issues independently.
