The Craftsman is an independent café-bar built on craft beer, coffee, and quality food. We take pride in doing things properly from sourcing ingredients through local artisans to serving dishes that are both approachable and imaginative.
Following the success of our Warwick site, were expanding to Leamington Spa and were now looking for aHead Chefto take the reins across both kitchens and help shape The Craftsmans next chapter.
This is more than a back-of-house position its a senior leadership role for a chef who can combine hands-on skill with big-picture thinking.
Youll takecreative and operational responsibility for our new flagshipLeamingtonkitchen, whilst also overseeing the food operation at our original, existingWarwicksite. Working closely with ownership and site management, youll ensure both venues deliver the same exceptional standards, consistent menus, and warm Craftsman personality.
As the business grows, this role has a clear path to evolve into aRegional / Executive Chefposition guiding new openings, mentoring site Head Chefs, and leading menu development across the group.
- Lead and inspire kitchen teams across both Leamington and Warwick
- Maintain consistency in quality, prep standards, and presentation
- Design and cost seasonal menus and specials using local suppliers
- Oversee GP, labour, and hygiene performance across sites
- Recruit, train, and mentor chefs and kitchen assistants
- Build a strong, collaborative relationship with front-of-house teams
- Work with ownership on future food concepts, events, and expansions
