Role: CNC Prismatic Machining Technician (Monday - Thursday Night Shift)

Contract Type: Contract or Permanent

Rate: From 17.92 per hour plus 20% shift allowance


Our client is seeking a highly skilled CNC Prismatic Machining Technician to become an integral part of their team, specialising in delivering high-quality transmission components mainly for the motorsport and aerospace industries. By utilising your technical expertise and supported by EdgeCam and Delcam offline programming, you will ensure the production of components meets exacting standards, aligning with our client's right first-time philosophy.



Job Requirements

  • Proven ability to produce components from technical drawings and planning route cards to a high standard.
  • Strong experience machining a variety of materials on 4- and 5-axis CNC machines.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding Fanuc/ISO programming machine code, with the capability of on-machine programming.
  • Able to read, understand, and edit CNC programmes, including adjusting speeds and feeds as required.
  • Skilled in using measuring equipment to inspect parts against planning and drawing specifications.
  • Able to deburr and fettle components during production to meet required standards.
  • A proactive and innovative approach to team support, problem solving, and continuous improvement.
  • Flexible in supporting other areas of manufacturing operations.
  • Willingness to work overtime and operate multiple machines to meet KPIs and delivery deadlines.
  • Knowledge of wire erosion is advantageous but not essential.


Key Responsibilities

  • Working in a small team to deliver high-quality transmission components for the motorsport/aerospace industries.
  • Ensuring all components are produced to tight tolerances and within routed timeframes.
  • On-machine programming and making necessary adjustments with support from offline programmers.
  • Inspecting parts against planning and drawing specifications using measuring equipment.
  • Maintaining a proactive approach to team support, problem solving, and continuous improvement.
  • Supporting other areas of manufacturing operations as required.
  • Meeting KPIs and delivery deadlines through flexible working and willingness to operate multiple machines.
