Berry Circular Polymers is a purpose-built Clean Stream plastics recycling facility based in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, United Kingdom.We focus on creating sustainable, high quality polymers, ready for reuse in various industries, from recycled kerbside plastic waste.Our innovative approach helps reduce environmental impact by keeping plastics in use and supporting a circular economy.We operate with a relentless focus on providing high quality and consistency in both our recycled materials and services.

Were currently looking for an full time, site based EHS Advisor whos primary purpose will be to provide day to day EHS support to the site management team.


Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the preparation and implementation of EHS management systems.

Assist with the preparation of guidance documents to ensure the workforce works within the required statutory and regulatory standards.

Ensure EHS noticeboard information is regularly refreshed and updated.

Carry out regular audits and inspections to ensure the workplace is being maintained in accordance with H&S and environmental permit/standards.

Record EHS data on internal and external management systems.

Assist in ensuring all legal/regulatory assessments are completed (PUWER, LOLER, PRN).

Coordinate the safe use and storage of COSHH. Ensuring cabinets are complete with a list of contents.

Communicate with external regulatory bodies as appropriate.

Create and monitor safety performance metrics to track performance and identify risk areas.

Support the design and delivery of EHS training, toolbox talks and safety briefings.

Investigate accidents, injuries and incidents, preparing reports of findings where required.

Monitor PTW, risk assessment/SSOWs.This includes getting operational staff involved in hazard identification.

Assist with the coordination of emergency evacuation drills.

Delegate for EHS Manager in their absence.

Understand and Interpret legislation, keepingup to date on changes in EHS and Compliance legislation and advising on impact.

Complete and manage customer EHS questionnaires.

Support in the attainment of all professional accreditations including ISO, RecyClass etc.


During a typical day you will:

  • Act as a role model and using your coaching approach, guide and support our leaders and employees with EHS compliance.
  • Bring risk assessments to life so everyone understands how to control our risks, stay safe, work safe and go home safe.
  • Clearly and promptly communicate issues and good practice.
  • Implement corrective and preventative actions.
  • Facilitate a culture of continuous improvement as we work towards achieving best practice standards.


The experience/qualification were looking for:

  • Qualified EHS Professional, (IOSH, NEBOSH)
  • At least 3 years experience in a fast-paced manufacturing/engineering environment.
  • Comfortable in preparing reports and using data to demonstrate the need to improve in particular areas
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
