I am currently recruiting on behalf of an Automotive OEM, based in Leamington Spa, who are seeking a Senior Functional Safety Engineer to join their team
Job Description
As Senior Functional Safety Engineer, your main responsibilities are:
- Delivering ISO 26262:2018 work products specified within the Functional Safety Plan for Items related to Assisted and Automated Driving
- Maintain all ISO 26262:2018 Work Products for assigned Items including Item Definition, HARAs, Functional Safety Concepts, and Functional Safety Requirements.
- Own the development and execution of Integration, Verification and Validation test specifications and other relevant documents/analyses.
- Own the development of all planned ISO 26262:2018 work products up to and including the Item Safety Case.
- Conduct technical discussions with suppliers and technical partners as required.
Qualifications / Skills needed
- Masters degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic or Automotive Engineering, Batchelors degree and equivalent industrial experience.
- Minimum of 3 years experience of functional safety within the automated and assisted driving domains
- Experience creating ISO 26262:2018 Parts 3 and 4 work products, in particular FSC/FSR, ITS/ITR and SGVP/SGVR.
- Experience in Integration, Verification of FSRs and Safety Goal Validation.
- Experience managing suppliers in accordance with a Development Interface Agreement.
