Sociology Teacher - Warwickshire


Start: Next Term
Daily Rate: 189-249 per day
Contract: Long-term (Two Terms - Maternity Cover)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and committed Sociology Teacher to join a well-resourced and highly supportive Secondary School in Warwickshire. This long-term maternity cover position begins next term, working within an experienced and high-performing Social Science Department.

Our client is an oversubscribed 11-18 mixed comprehensive school with an excellent reputation in the local area. The school prides itself on superb facilities, a strong sense of community, and a forward-thinking approach to teaching and learning.



The Role


We are seeking an inspirational and hardworking Teacher of Sociology to deliver high-quality teaching across Key Stage 4 (GCSE) and Key Stage 5 (A-Level).
This role is suitable for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced practitioners.
You will be joining a supportive and popular department with excellent resources, contributing to a culture of high achievement and academic excellence. The ability to offer Psychology or Health & Social Care is advantageous, though not essential.



Candidate Requirements


  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS)

  • Overseas Trained Teachers with verified UK NARIC qualifications are welcome to apply

  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Sociology

  • Ability to motivate, challenge and inspire students

  • Commitment to maintaining the school's high standards of teaching and learning

  • A positive contribution to an ambitious and progressive Social Science Department
