Expleo is recruiting a Project Engineer - Seat Belt Systems to support the design, development, testing, and delivery of innovative safety components for a leading automotive client in Warwickshire. This is a 12-month contract role, ideal for a dynamic engineer passionate about vehicle safety and system integration.

Key Responsibilities:-

  • Lead the development and integration of seat belt systems across vehicle programmes.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and report to Chapter Leaders and Programme Technical Leads.
  • Manage component and sub-system test plans, ensuring timely design verification and issue resolution.
  • Maintain engineering documentation including WERS and support Agile delivery through ABR/PI aspirations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, manufacturing, quality, logistics, and suppliers.
  • Apply Failure Mode Avoidance techniques to meet cost, weight, quality, and performance targets.

Required Skills & Experience:-

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record in automotive engineering project management.
  • Experience in Body Engineering, Safety Components, or Restraint Systems.
  • Knowledge of seat belt or airbag dynamic performance and related standards.
  • Familiarity with product creation, change control, and Agile methodologies (Jira, Confluence).
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable Attributes:-

  • Experience with DFMEA and DRBFM.
  • Knowledge of vehicle-level safety requirements.
  • Completion of at least one full development cycle on safety components.
  • Resilient, enthusiastic, and results-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Passionate about automotive innovation and customer-focused solutions.
