About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity at a prestigious Legal 500 firm in Leamington Spa for a LegalAssistant to join the Private Family Department on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic role for someone looking to grow their legal career in a supportive and forward-thinking environment. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to multiple Fee Earners within the busy Family Private Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide typing and secretarial support to Fee Earners within the Family Department
  • Handle new client enquiries
  • Liaise with clients via telephone, email, and in person (under supervision of Fee Earners)
  • Manage Fee Earners' diaries and arrange client appointments
  • Prepare and maintain case files, court documentation, and appointment briefs
  • Assist with case management under the guidance of the Lead Fee Earner
  • Process invoices and cost schedules under Fee Earner instruction
  • Support general administrative functions and ensure filing systems are up to date
  • Attend internal department and firm-wide meetings
  • Provide reception cover as needed
  • Maintain strict client confidentiality at all times

About You:

  • Strong keyboard and IT skills
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Family Private Department is preferred but not essential
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Excellent communication and client care skills with a positive, proactive approach
  • Team-oriented with a flexible and adaptable mindset
  • Discreet and professional, especially when dealing with sensitive client matters
