- Act as Deputy Professional Head of Engineering, progressing to full responsibility.
- Oversee fleet safety assurance and manage the resolution of safety-related defects.
- Lead investigations into safety incidents and implement preventative measures.
- Support fleet strategy, ensuring proposed changes are technically sound and aligned with delivery and financial goals.
- Develop and manage an assurance programme with third-party maintenance suppliers.
- Strong technical background in UK rolling stock, preferably with experience in EMUs.
- Solid understanding of the engineering change process and UK rail standards.
- Proven experience in safety management and incident investigation.
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation review skills.
- Confident communicator and self-starter with a proactive approach to improvement.
- Degree in Engineering; chartered or working towards chartership preferred.
