Job Title: Fleet Assurance ManagerLocation: Royal Leamington SpaJob Type: Full-Time, PermanentSalary: CompetitiveAbout the RoleWe are looking for an experienced and safety-focused Fleet Assurance Manager to lead safety and compliance efforts across our fleet operations. This is a key leadership role where you'll ensure engineering standards are met, incidents are investigated thoroughly, and continuous improvements are made in fleet safety performance.You'll also begin as Deputy Professional Head of Engineering, with a clear pathway to progress into the full role.Key Responsibilities
  • Act as Deputy Professional Head of Engineering, progressing to full responsibility.
  • Oversee fleet safety assurance and manage the resolution of safety-related defects.
  • Lead investigations into safety incidents and implement preventative measures.
  • Support fleet strategy, ensuring proposed changes are technically sound and aligned with delivery and financial goals.
  • Develop and manage an assurance programme with third-party maintenance suppliers.
What We’re Looking For
  • Strong technical background in UK rolling stock, preferably with experience in EMUs.
  • Solid understanding of the engineering change process and UK rail standards.
  • Proven experience in safety management and incident investigation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation review skills.
  • Confident communicator and self-starter with a proactive approach to improvement.
  • Degree in Engineering; chartered or working towards chartership preferred.
