What you’ll be doing (Quality Engineer / Quality Control Technician responsibilities):

  • Carrying out hands-on inspections of incoming parts and finished products. 
  • Manually checking components (sometimes in the hundreds or thousands per month).
  • Using Excel spreadsheets to record and analyse inspection data.
  • Assisting with supplier quality issues, reporting non-conformances, and supporting investigations. 
  • Manage and oversee the calibration of inspection equipment. 
  • Supporting customer quality checks, PPAP submissions, and internal audits. 
  • Compile ISIR’s for PPAP submissions and product approvals.

What we’re looking for:

  • An engineering qualification (degree, HNC, or similar) or some hands-on manufacturing/engineering experience. 
  • A sharp eye for detail and patience to carry out repetitive inspection work accurately. 
  • Confident IT skills (particularly Excel). 
  • This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on and practical work, as it involves standing, bending, lifting up to 25 pounds, and occasionally working on their feet.
  • An awareness of quality tools, such as PPAP, SPC, and FMEA, would be desirable.
