What you’ll be doing (Quality Engineer / Quality Control Technician responsibilities):
- Carrying out hands-on inspections of incoming parts and finished products.Â
- Manually checking components (sometimes in the hundreds or thousands per month).
- Using Excel spreadsheets to record and analyse inspection data.
- Assisting with supplier quality issues, reporting non-conformances, and supporting investigations.Â
- Manage and oversee the calibration of inspection equipment.Â
- Supporting customer quality checks, PPAP submissions, and internal audits.Â
- Compile ISIR’s for PPAP submissions and product approvals.
What we’re looking for:
- An engineering qualification (degree, HNC, or similar) or some hands-on manufacturing/engineering experience.Â
- A sharp eye for detail and patience to carry out repetitive inspection work accurately.Â
- Confident IT skills (particularly Excel).Â
- This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on and practical work, as it involves standing, bending, lifting up to 25 pounds, and occasionally working on their feet.
- An awareness of quality tools, such as PPAP, SPC, and FMEA, would be desirable.Â
