Are you a skilled technician with a passion for precision and high-performance engineering? This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Gearbox Fitter to join a fast-paced, hands-on environment assembling gearboxes and axles for bespoke, cutting-edge programmes.

From assembling complex mechanical and hydraulic systems to supporting continuous improvement, this role is ideal for a proactive individual ready to make an impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and test complex mechanical and hydraulic systems to pre-defined build plans

  • Use measurement tools such as verniers and micrometers with confidence and accuracy

  • Support the team leader in prioritising tasks to meet build deadlines and production targets

  • Apply problem-solving skills (e.g., 8D methodology) to resolve quality issues and drive improvements

  • Train others to set standards and contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing

  • Work collaboratively across teams to enhance processes and output

  • Solid experience in a mechanical assembly environment, ideally working with performance or precision products
