We are looking for an experienced Site Engineer to provide holiday cover on a Section 278 scheme, with a strong background in drainage and kerbing works. The successful candidate must be confident working independently and managing day-to-day engineering duties.
Key Responsibilities
路Setting out for drainage, kerbs, footpaths and associated S278 works
路Interpreting drawings/specifications and ensuring compliance
路Managing permits to dig and completing relevant documentation
路Liaising with local authorities and utilities as required
路Supervising subcontractors and coordinating site activities
路Quality assurance and recording as-built information
路Maintaining high standards of health and safety on site
Requirements
路Proven experience on Section 278 / highways schemes
路Strong setting out skills using GPS, Total Station and levels
路Experience with drainage and kerbing installations
路Competent in handling permits to dig and related paperwork
路CSCS card (Engineer/Manager level)
路SMSTS/SSSTS (desirable)
路Right to work in the UK
路Ability to work with minimal supervision
