  • My client manufacture ultrasonic wind sensors using patented Acoustic Resonance technology that is tougher and more withstanding than other products on the market. The sensors are being used in Wind Energy, Marine, Meteorology, Defence, Drones and Infrastructure. Wind Energy is the biggest market with sensors being applied for wind turbine control.

What will this person be doing?
  • Design, develop, test, and document analogue and digital electronic circuits.
  • Translate requirements into design and technical specifications.
  • Contribute to concept development and feasibility studies for new technologies.
  • Support system integration, verification, validation, DFMEA/PFMEA, and production handover.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues on returned products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, manufacturing, and quality.
  • Manage and deliver electronics workstreams within projects.
  • Provide task estimates and progress updates for self-managed work.
  • Ensure quality throughout the electronics development cycle using Altium and Windchill.
  • Drive continuous improvement of design processes and development guidelines.

Essential Skills
  • A minimum of a BSc in Electronics.
  • Proficient in analogue and mixed-signal electronic circuit design.
  • PCB design and schematic capture (Altium).
  • Design of interface circuits and integration with microcontroller and FPGA platforms.
  • Implementation of both analogue and digital filtering techniques.
  • Solid understanding of power management principles and circuit design theory.
  • Familiarity with embedded software development, including the use of design, simulation, and verification tools.
  • Knowledge of R&D methodologies.

Desirable Skills
  • Knowledge of Digital Signal Processing (DSP).
  • Knowledge of QA.
  • Knowledge of low-powered wireless communications technologies.
