The Role
As the Event/Site Manager, you’ll take the lead in planning, organising, and executing events from start to finish. You’ll oversee a team of 10–15 staff on event days, coordinate with suppliers, and play an active role in promoting future events.
Responsibilities include:
- Plan, organise, and execute events from start to finish.
- Overseeing set-up including managing 10-15 staff members.
- Ensuring smooth execution of all events activities
- Managing staff on event days including morning set-up duties, course management and closing duties including clean down etc.
- Set-up logistics relating to delivery timings, suppliers, and location host liaison.
- Use of till – refunds, receipts, ticket, and queries (full training provided)
- Technical support (generators and plugging in equipment) full training provided.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to promote events and drive attendance.
- Responsible to responding to website, email and social media enquiries.
- Exceptional guest services skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
- Dealing with all customer queries
- In charge of all social media during non-event times and event periods
The Candidate
Candidates should have proven experience in site management of outdoor events involving external equipment and be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail. You will be highly motivated, energetic, and capable of working under pressure while maintaining a positive, can-do attitude. A friendly, approachable manner and the ability to engage with both children and adults are essential.
The role requires a physically active individual who is first aid trained and comfortable with the demands of a hands-on position. Candidates must hold a full, clean driving licence and be willing to travel, including being away from home for up to two weeks at a time during event periods at various locations across the UK.
Strong upselling skills are a distinct advantage to maximise event revenue opportunities. You will be a fast learner, able to adapt quickly, juggle multiple responsibilities, and find effective solutions to problems as they arise. Confidence in taking charge and leading on the day of the event is essential.
A tech-savvy individual with some experience in rigging and a working knowledge of social media platforms is preferred, as the role will involve elements of digital engagement and technical support.
