Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Materials Controller with a strong background in aviation or airline operations to join our clients expanding team. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient management, control, and distribution of aircraft parts and materials to support maintenance and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage inventory levels of aircraft parts and materials, ensuring availability to meet operational demands.
  • Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments in accordance with aviation regulations and company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock movements using MRO or ERP systems.
  • Coordinate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure timely delivery of required components.
  • Monitor shelf-life and expiry dates of materials, ensuring compliance with airworthiness standards.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and audits to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Liaise with suppliers and logistics providers to track and expedite deliveries.
  • Ensure all materials are stored in accordance with safety and regulatory guidelines.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the materials and logistics function.
Requirements:
  • Have 3 years UK experience in a materials/logistics role within the aviation or airline industry is essential.
  • Strong understanding of aviation regulations related to materials handling.
  • Familiarity with aircraft maintenance operations and associated documentation.
  • Experience using MRO systems (e.g., AMOS, TRAX, Ramco) or similar inventory management software.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, shift-based environment.
