Our client is a precision engineering company specializing in the manufacture of high-quality, precision-machined metal components they work within the aerospace, defence, automotive, oil & gas, and nuclear sectors they are looking for a Manufacturing Engineering manager who can Manage all aspects of manufacturing engineering for our client and coordinate the transfer of work between the group.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Manufacturing engineering support for all Project Engineers as required for new estimates/quotes
- Manufacturing engineering support for new product introductions:
- Generation of manufacturing plan
- Generation of PFMEA
- Generation of risk assessment
- Routings
- Fixtures and tooling
- Coordinate and manage the transfer of machining work between our client’s businesses
- Support the facilities requirements including buildings, plant and equipment
- Support the Engineering, Operations and Quality functions with root cause analysis and problem solving
- Customer NCR’s
- Supplier quality/delivery issues
- Support Management System improvements and introductions as required
Job Requirements
- Proven experience in manufacturing engineering within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work proactively with Engineering, Operations and Quality teams.
