Our client, a growing manufacturing business based in Woking, is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer.
The role requires strong knowledge of Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks and experience with sheet metal, fabrication, and weldments.
Candidates should have prior experience managing or leading a team and hold an engineering degree or relevant qualification.
The position offers a permanent contract with a salary dependent on experience and includes benefits such as 22 days of holiday and pension contributions.
The working hours are Monday to Friday, and the role involves overseeing design projects and ensuring the team's deadlines are met.

Utilising Autodesk Inventor for concept modelling, detailed manufacturing drawings, part and assembly modelling, parametric design, and CAD simulation for optimization and structural analysis.
Ensuring that the design team meets deadlines through communication, planning, and monitoring.
Organising design review meetings and managing engineering changes and library parts.
Leading the team through daily meetings and communication with stakeholders.
Managing personal design projects and overseeing all aspects of the design department's functions.

Senior Design EngineerEssential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

Holder of an engineering degree or relevant qualification.
Prior experience managing or leading a team.
Strong knowledge of Inventor or SolidWorks
Experience with manufacturing processes including weldments, fabrication, and sheet metal.
