The role:
We are looking for an experienced Trainer, who can deliver safety courses to introduce learners to the theoretical and practical dangers of excavation work. The specific courses being delivered are the EUSR Category 3,4, and 5.
The position offers 6 months training to successful applicants, to ensure their knowledge of the course is outstanding. Examples of areas covered are but not limited to the HSE's HSG150, HSG 47 guidance, the Construction Industry Research and Information Associations report. The courses tend to last 1-2 days, with an option for 1 day refresher courses also. You will be delivering these courses to businesses, education providers and private clients.
Learners will need to become familiarised with the necessity for identifying various ground conditions and will come to understand a variety of methods for utilising the appropriate ground retention system(s). This course also includes practical training and assessments while installing ground support systems in a live dig environment with a specific temporary works design.

What you need:
- A formal training qualification is essential
- Solid understanding of the construction, utilities, or civil engineering sectors
- Confident communicator with experience in delivering presentations and leading training sessions
- Comfortable providing hands-on training outdoors, even in challenging weather conditions
- Skilled in developing or contributing to the creation of training materials and session plans
- Minimum education: GCSE grade C (or National 4) in Maths and English
- A valid UK driving licence is required
- Must be based in the South of England, with flexibility to travel and stay away from home up to four days per week
