The Role:

We are seeking candidates for an assistant Quantity surveyor role, to work on a new build high end residential scheme based in Leatherhead with a value of £12 million. This role offers an excellent base salary + benefits, while providing an opportunity to learn process and practices applied by a leader in the high-end residential sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing cost plans, budgets, and tender documents for high-end residential projects, ensuring accuracy and value alignment with client expectations.
  • Support procurement by analysing subcontractor tenders, preparing comparisons, and assisting with contract award recommendations.
  • Monitor project costs, including valuations, variations, and change control, helping to maintain budgets throughout the build.
  • Assist in preparing interim valuations, payment applications, and final accounts in accordance with UK standard forms of contract (e.g. JCT).
  • Maintain accurate financial records and reporting, working closely with the senior QS and site team to manage commercial risk.

Requirements:

  • Construction related qualification
  • 1+ Year high end residential or main contracting experience
  • Lives within a commutable distance of leatherhead
  • Willingness to work and learn within the high-end residential sector
