Junior Quantity Surveyor - M&E Contractor | Surrey | 30,000 - 40,000 DOE

Company Overview:
Our client is a well-established Mechanical & Electrical contractor with an annual turnover of around 20 million, delivering high-quality projects across the South East valued up to 15 million. With a strong reputation for excellence and a commitment to developing their team, they are now looking to add a Junior Quantity Surveyor to their growing commercial department.

The Role:
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor who is either recently qualified or currently studying towards a relevant qualification. You'll join a supportive and experienced team, gaining exposure to all commercial aspects of M&E projects - from procurement and cost control through to final accounts.

You will be primarily based at the company's Surrey head office, with regular site visits as part of your role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the preparation of cost estimates, tenders, and valuations

  • Supporting senior QS staff in procurement and subcontract management

  • Assisting with cost reporting, change control, and project forecasting

  • Liaising with site teams and clients to ensure commercial objectives are met

  • Helping prepare and manage project documentation and reports

Requirements:

  • Ideally 1+ year's experience in a Quantity Surveying role (placement or post-grad)

  • Background in M&E preferred but open to candidates from other construction sectors

  • HND/Degree (completed or in progress) in Quantity Surveying or similar discipline

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills

  • Excellent communication and attention to detail

  • Proactive and eager to learn within a fast-paced, professional environment
