About the role of Quantity Surveyor
As Project Quantity Surveyor, you will be joining a Tier 1 Main Contractor on a 5m New Build, Ministry of Defence project. You will be the lead on the project with a Managing Quantity Surveyor overseeing the project. They have lots of work in their pipeline, so they are looking to grow their team. There is lots of room for progression with this established Main Contractor who have been in the construction industry for over 100 years.
Key Responsibilities of Quantity Surveyor:
- Manage the downstream and upstream process such as handling subcontractor packages
- Adhering to contractual requirements
- Monitor costs throughout the projects life-cycle to ensure it stays within budget
- Assist the team in managing risks and resolving disputes
Key Requirements of Quantity Surveyor:
- Experience leading 3m+ projects at a Main Contractor
- Experience on Ministry of Defence projects is ideal but not essential
- Degree in construction related subject is ideal but not essential
