This role focuses on developing the case for improved transport links, collaborating with existing transport, housing, and growth leads to advocate for future investments. Upcoming publications will highlight the role of enhanced transport in unlocking growth potential, and this position will be instrumental in shaping these narratives and advancing a strategic transport plan for the area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with transport leads to establish a clear delivery plan for transport priorities as outlined in forthcoming growth ambition documents.

  • Identify and engage with sub-regional partners to further strategic transport objectives.

  • Work alongside housing leads to align transport initiatives with housing development goals.

  • Provide oversight on emerging transport opportunities and challenges, engaging with relevant authorities to secure future funding.

  • Formulate strategic responses to consultations from governmental, statutory, private, and voluntary bodies.

  • Produce in-depth reports utilizing transport data to advocate for increased investment.

  • Revitalize the case for major transport projects, such as Crossrail 2, from a sub-regional perspective, collaborating with partners to strengthen the proposition.
