Exciting opportunity for an R&D Tax Associate to join a modern and growing firm of Accountants on a remote basis.The key responsibilities of the R&D Tax Associate are:•    Project managing the delivery of a caseload of R&D claims.•    Preparing claims for R&D tax relief. This will include but is not limited to: meeting clients to discuss the process, gathering project information, analysing R&D expenditure, preparing reports and Additional Information Forms, completing corporation tax returns with R&D inputs, and handling HMRC correspondence.•    Preparation of EMI notification and ERS returns. •    Preparation of compliance documents for EIS and SEIS. •    Assistance with ad hoc tax queries in relation to income tax, corporation tax, VAT, PAYE, NICs, capital gains tax, and SDLT. •    Tax research and advice preparation. •    Remuneration planning for business owners.To qualify for this R&D Tax Associate position, ideally you will meet the following:•    ATT qualified as a minimum, with an interest in progressing to CTA (or studying towards their CTA qualification), or hold an equivalent professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CA) and be interested in progressing the relevant tax qualifications (ATT or CTA).•    At least 3 years’ professional experience gained in a UK tax practice with a strong focus on R&D tax relief or in a UK R&D specialist firm.•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to be able to establish, maintain and develop effective communications across the company.What’s on offer?•    Fully remote role •    6-monthly meetups in London, fully funded by the firm. •    Flexible working hours•    25 days annual leave + bank holidays•    Extra day off for your birthday•    Fully funded study support •    Salary from £35,000 to £50,000If you are interested in this R&D Tax Associate position or would like any further information, please contact Leah Mason at IPS Finance. IPS Finance has 40 years’ experience in the Yorkshire accountancy recruitment market.
