JHE & Partners are pleased to be working with a growing business in the Leeds area (Garforth) who are looking to recruit a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their friendly and fast-paced finance team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced accounts professional looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive environment. The role is permanent and full-time, offering a competitive salary of £28,000 - £30,000 and a range of benefits. The hours are 8:30-5:30 however, these can be flexible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and process purchase ledger transactions accurately and in a timely manner
- Raise sales invoices and follow up on outstanding payments
- Reconcile bank and credit card transactions
- Support the month-end process, including preparing journals and assisting with management accounts
- Update internal spreadsheets and financial records
- Ensure compliance with VAT regulations and support VAT returns
- Assist both the Finance Manager and Procurement Manager with ad-hoc finance tasks
- Experience working on Sage 50 desirable but not essential
