Are you looking to build your career in a supportive and fast-paced accountancy practice? We are recruiting for our clients growing and friendly firm based in Leeds, and we’re looking for an enthusiastic Accounts Assistant to join the team!
As an Accounts Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting our clients team with a variety of accounting and bookkeeping tasks for a diverse client base. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic and a desire to grow within the profession.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Processing purchase and sales invoices
- Bank reconciliations and bookkeeping using cloud accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks)
- Preparing VAT returns and assisting with payroll tasks
- Supporting with year-end procedures and filing
- Communicating with clients and providing excellent service
What We’re Looking For:
- 1-2 years experience in an accountancy practice with experience of preparing year end accounts
- AAT currently studying (or equivalent experience)
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude
